BioHello! I am so happy and excited to be here at Stone Scholastic Academy! I came to Stone from another Chicago Public School. This is my 17th year teaching public school and I grow to love education more each passing year! I am a Diverse Learners Teacher for Grades 3,4,5. I concentrate on Reading, Writing and Math at each grade level as well as academic and social intervention.. I received my undergrad degree from Columbia and my Masters degree in Special Education from Dominican University. Outside of school I am a working artist and work with kids on expression through art and art therapy. I am married and have three rescue dogs, three of the wildest little Chihuahuas!

Who I Am- |
I believe all kids can learn. EVERY child can reach their own individual potential ( and then surpass it!). Education is a whole child approach, A true education begins with relationships and communication. I take each child's learning style into consideration and pride myself on building meaningful, hands on learning experiences. Making connections and working across all subjects equals growth. Family and community is an integral part of a child's education in school. I welcome parent feedback, suggestions and participation.

Room 213 |
Students spend a large amount of their waking hours in school. This year I will be doing my teaching in the general education rooms- grades 3-5. My office is located in Room 213. Room 213 will also be set up as a mini classroom and focus center! We have designated space in order to offer your child a separate setting in order to test in a quiet location. Room 213 also houses an art therapy station and an area to re-group. We also have Therapeutic manipulative devices and yoga mats! You are welcome to come visit at any time!
